Woolly Tellers on 14 November
I hope you don't mind me emailing you. I am researching groups within the Wollaton area and understand you are the secretary for the Nottingham drama and Nottinghamshire drama association
I am David Brookes a member of The Woolly Tellers Story Tellers.
We are performing on the Friday 14th November 2014 at St Leonards Hall Wollaton performing 'Tales from the Hall'
The evenings profits will go to support Maggie's based at the City Hospital Nottingham. We are providing our performance free and funding the publicity for the event. the only cost to come out is the hire of the Hall
Albeit we have secured a spot on BBC radio Nottingham coverage and spreading the word about the event is key to making it a success
I was hoping you could spread the word to your members and anyone else in the Wollaton community. Getting an event off the ground at a new venue is notoriously hard work
the below script outlines the event
Thank you for your time
David Brookes
Tales from the Hall
Mike Whysall and Dave Brookes are the Woolly Tellers who are writers and performance story tellers.
We bring together a collection stories from Wollaton and beyond.
Stories that are dark perhaps ghostly, some light and those that will just make you smile
What's important about this performance is that we are raising money for Maggie's
at the City Hospital Nottingham and all profits from the night will go directly to them.
What is important to us, is that you are entertained and you enjoy the evening in company with the Woolly Tellers
Below is an explanation about the centre and the extract is from their website
You may either book by email or alternatively by telephone

About Maggie's
Maggie's provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.
Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's Centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.
Our Centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.
The first Maggie's Centre opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie's has continued to grow, with 17 Centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK.
