SOUTHWELL THEATRE CLUB in 1986

Chairman: Joan Martin - Southwell
Secretary: Christine Marrion - Thurgarton

Southwell Theatre Club was founded ten years ago and has a membership of 25. They hold regular club evenings on the first Thursday of each month, meeting in an upstairs room at the Admiral Nelson, Southwell. Occasionally theatre outings are arranged on club nights.

The club tries to produce at least two three act plays per year, performances take place in the WI Hall, Southwell. They also travel the county with a "Road Show", performing in village halls. Several social functions are organised each year, eg car rallies, barbecues, annual dinners. This has the advantage of including members' families in club activities.

The last six productions:
"Separate Tables" by Terence Rattigan
"Noah" by Andre Obey
"Murder Deferred" by Stuart Ready
"Wolf's Clothing" by Kenneth Horne
"The Late, Late Easter Show" - a review
"The Enquiry" by Charlotte Hastings
