PENSON PLAYERS in 1986
Chairman and Secretary: Kathryn I Tyers - MANSFIELD
The group was formed in 1948 to present good plays with as wide a popular appeal as possible. It takes its name from the late Harry Penson.
There is no membership subscription and anyone who has been involved in a production of the group becomes a Penson Player. Members are in fact normally involved with other groups and may become a Penson Player as defined above by invitation. Individuals wishing to participate
can indicate that interest to the Secretary.
Rehearsals for, and presentation of, the two major productions each year are in the Civic Theatre at Mansfield. These productions are usually three act plays although one musical has been performed.
Most recent productions include
"A Bedful of Foreigners"
"Brush with a Body"
"Outside Edge"
"Darling Mr London"
"Private Lives"
"Fringe Benefits"
"Ladies in Retirement"
