NEWSTAGERS in 1986
Chairman: Jane Oldham - NEWARK
Secretary: Susie Turner - NEWARK
Newstagers Drama Company, now in its 11th year, is a fast-expanding, energetic, Newark-based group which welcomes new members from the age of 15 years. We have a flourishing 'youth group' which is part of the main Company and participates fully in activities and major
productions.
The Company stages four major productions a year (plus a variety of secondary activities and shows. including workshops and youth productions), ranging from classical drama, through revue and 'pot pourris', to Music Hall. The Company finances itself, largely through the efforts or a much-in-demand travelling Music Hall troupe.
Our most ambitious venture to date has been a full-scale, highly successful musical, 'CABARET', staged during October 1985 in the main auditorium or our usual venue, The Palace Theatre, Newark.
