5 YOUTH FESTIVAL 2022
MR reported that, following the chairman’s approval, the letter informing groups of the Youth Festival plans had been sent out on 5th January to NANDA groups. He had also sent the letter out to 14 other groups including schools and drama groups. He had so far received one reply from ELAPS, who could not participate due to a clash of dates.
Council members were urged to contact MR if they knew of any groups which could be contacted. BB will find contacts from local schools (primary and secondary) and will inform MR
MR said he would be unable to attend on the day(s) due to health considerations. RH offered to be responsible for organising the event. RD offered his services as Stage Manager.
In spite of ongoing uncertainties RH said that we should press on with the event and thanked MR for his work so far.

6 PLAY OF THE YEAR
In the absence of JW, HW reported on the PoY so far. Three plays had been adjudicated so far, with two more in the immediate future and another seven anticipated. Whilst the number of entries was encouraging, these came from few groups and he was keen to see more groups entering. There followed a discussion on possible reasons for this reluctance. GP suggested that an offer of adjudication not connected to the competition might be popular.
RH to contact groups to try and persuade them to enter and to offer an adjudication not connected to the competition if preferred.
Dinner - LW - Nothing to report. The menus will be available at the end of March, but there may be no choice (other than the vegetarian option). Fewer groups entering would mean less tables and greater cost.

7 AGM 2022
It was agreed to hold the AGM on Saturday12th March at 2.00pm. The venue will be the Arnold Welfare Centre, Nottingham Road, Arnold.
LW to reserve

8 AOB
HW expressed concern about the age profile of NANDA and the need to encourage younger people. Hope was expressed that offering workshops again in the future will attract younger members.
GP wished formally to record the Council’s appreciation of the contribution made over a number of years by Sonja Oates and Barbara Fisher, both of whom had recently passed away.

9 NEXT MEETING
This will be held on Saturday 12th March after the AGM (see above).

The meeting ended at 8.10pm

Matters arising - addendum
HW said he had consulted Dominic about the website. The delay had occurred because it had proved difficult to transfer the domain name from one person to another. To move matters forward he had obtained a new domain name nandanotts.co.uk.
This should resolve problems in the next few weeks. The two websites will run side by side until the old one expires in August.
