4 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 19/20 and Awards Dinner
Up to Christmas eight plays had been adjudicated. Three more - from Bonington, Radcliffe on Trent and West Bridgford are to be adjudicated soon. A further three up to April are planned, making a total so far of 14.
Dinner
LW said that there was a slight price increase this year, the cost being £32 per dinner. It was agreed unanimously to subsidise the event and to charge £32.
Youth Festival 2020
Mel Reynolds had emailed several drama groups in the area as well as all the NANDA groups informing them of the details of the Youth Festival. No replies had as yet been received.
He proposed to send the letter out again by post.

5 NANDA ACTIVITIES
RW said the current directors’ course was well received. As interest has been shown it would be possible to run another directors’ course. The optimum number for the course would be 15 - 18. There was a discussion on which other courses could be run for the benefit of members.
RH suggested hiring a professional and will enquire about costs. There was a further discussion on how members could share their skills in areas such as lighting, sound, costumes, props. JB will find out about a tour of the Lace Market wardrobe department.
RH is still trying to find out about whether there could be a group rate for insurance.

6 THEATRE LUNCHEON
LW had had no success with getting a speaker. This is proving increasingly difficult.

7 MEDIA
Nothing to report

8 MEMBERSHIP
Blaby Drama Group, Market Harborough Drama Society and Edwalton Church Drama Group have all resigned. All Hallows Drama Group have rejoined.

9 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
HW said that we now need a privacy policy. He will draw one up for the next meeting.
MS reminded everyone always to use blind copy when sending out emails to groups
JB had been asked why a nomination list was not sent out in advance. There are no nominations
but "special mentions" which are given at the discretion of the adjudicator.
RH had received a suggestion for a TV screen at the PoY ceremony so people could see pictures or videos of the plays. It was agreed this was a good idea, but would need someone to organise it. If using the hotel the cost would be prohibitive.
GP proposed adding an item to the AGM agenda regarding the awarding of grants to groups.
This was discussed and put to the vote. The motion was defeated.

10 DATES OF FUTURE MEETINGS
The AGM will be held on Saturday 22nd February at 2.00pm at Mapperley Plains Social
Club. Following the AGM there will be a Council meeting. The following Council meeting will be held on Monday 23rd March at 7.30 at Arnold.
