6 NANDA ACTIVITIES
Directors' course: This will run again in full in January with most of the attendees from the first course- about 15. As the course was full, it has not been advertised again.
There may be sufficient interest for another course to be run in the future. It would be preferable for a group to host the course and do the organising with NANDA helping with the cost of venue hire and other expenses.
There was a suggestion that other courses could be run eg lighting / technical.
RH suggested that we pick out a theme based on feedback from the PoY adjudicator and provide a suitable course. A fight course was also suggested.
RH - What is wanted is for there to be a positive benefit for member groups. One idea suggested was help with insurance. NM to investigate possibility of group insurance / discount, given that group's needs will differ.
NM asked to prepare list of groups which have never entered the PoY or have allowed their membership to lapse.
JW suggested each council member make a list of drama groups known to them which have never joined eg Long Eaton.
7 CELEBRITY LUNCHEON
Linda Whitehurst reported that the Theatre Royal pantomime stars had all been approached without success- There are matinees each day!
LW will write stage door letters to Shane Ward and a colleague.
8 MEDIA
JB will contact the person responsible for the Lace Market's publicity to encourage them to use NANDA's facebook page.
RH commented that it would be good if groups knew they were getting sales from the facebook page, he also wondered whether NANDA could have a slot on Notts TV to promote local groups.
9 Amendments to membership
None
10 AOB
