Comments
HW noted that the Howard Whitehurst Trophy should read Director’s Trophy
There followed a discussion on subsidies. The Chairman noted that, following his meetings with some member groups, it is important that members see an advantage in belonging to NANDA. There was a wide ranging discussion on ways this could be achieved. MS noted that any subsidies should be on entry fees not on meals. The chairman suggested that we ask if groups could be included in NANDA insurance, at what cost and whether there would be an advantage in this
The report was carried unanimously

5 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 19/20 and Awards Dinner

One Act Festival
Although this is no longer held, it was decided to continue subscribing to AETF in case of interest in the future.

6 NANDA ACTIVITIES
Directors’ course - After one session, this course unfortunately had to be cancelled. It was decided to start the course again from scratch in January. Barbara Barton will confirm the dates and venue with Bob Wildgust, the course director. Once agreed, RW will then contact those from other groups who were on the course.

7 CELEBRITY LUNCHEON
Linda Whitehurst reported that she will be writing to Les Dennis and Connor McIntyre (starring in Cinderella at the Theatre Royal) She also aims to contact Gemma Russell (Piaf) and Trevor Nunn through Adam Penford at the Playhouse. Hopefully one or more of these will oblige.
