The chairman pointed out that NANDA is a non profit making organisation and subsidises activities such as the Play of the Competition; she therefore queried the term "Loss" in the accounts. She said that any deficit needs to be shown as a subsidy to show members how the money is being used. NM will look into how this can be shown on the balance sheets.
NM said that six groups had not yet renewed and one new group - Blind Eye - had joined.
4 ELECTRONIC TRANSFERS
More members wish to pay for events by electronic transfer. NM will look into this and report back at the next meeting.
LW noted there was some confusion and misunderstanding regarding payment for the PoY dinner, where some people had elected to pay by electronic transfer but had not confirmed this to her. The invitation letter to the dinner will be altered accordingly.
5 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 18/19 and Awards Dinner
JW reported that all the correspondence for this had gone out but there were no entries to date.
Dinner - This has been booked at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for Friday 21st June. The price has risen to £30 pp and there is a reduction of choices from four to three for each course.
Youth Festival 2019
Following Jean Lebeter's resignation, there is currently nobody to organise this event. JW will write a "job description" and send this out to all groups, asking for a volunteer.
JW will also find out available dates from Chilwell. The competition is usually held in May but alternatives were discussed.
6 THEATRE LUNCHEON
LW reported that Adam Penford, Artistic Director of the Nottingham Playhouse, is available to be a guest at the Luncheon in December - more details to follow soon. Other possible speakers were discussed.
