Until any changes have been discussed and ratified at the next AGM, it was decided to proceed as before.

6 THE GURD AWARD
A nomination for this award had been received and was discussed by the Council. This nomination was unanimously approved and the recipient will be informed in due course.

7 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 17/18 and Awards Dinner
The PoY is progressing well. There have been 21entries so far, from 15 groups.
Dinner:- LW read out the menu. It was agreed to charge £30 per head, with 4 free dinners being provided. The information will go out to groups at the end of April and replies will be requested by the end of May. RW noted that although there is an expectancy that all participating groups will be mentioned in the adjudicator's speech, there is a need to restrict the time - possibly to 40 minutes.
Youth Festival 2018
The information has now gone out to all groups and to those who entered last year. Lace Market Youth have already entered. If there are a lot of entries, the event will go into Sunday.

8 70th ANNIVERSARY ACTIVITIES
The Flare Path event at the Lace Market Theatre had been very successful, with representatives from eleven groups attending. The Lord Mayor of Nottingham and his lady had attended and greatly enjoyed the event. There had been a full page article in the Nottingham Post, which had provided very good publicity.
No more Anniversary events are planned, so it was suggested that the PoY Dinner be extra special this year - possibly with an exhibition relating to the past 70 years.

9 THEATRE LUNCHEON
LW has contacted Stephen Tompkinson and Dennis Lawson, both of whom are appearing in Art at the Theatre Royal in the first week in May. Other names suggested were Matthew Horne (MR to find out more) and the new director of the Nottingham Playhouse.
