5 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 16/17 and Awards Dinner
Fifteen entries have been received so far from eleven groups. Possible entries are awaited from Lace Market Youth and Robin Hood.
One Act Play Festival
Although there is nothing specific to report, RW noted that he was in regular contact with AETF and receives full information from them, even though we have no intention, as yet, of reviving the One Act competition. There is a possibility we would need to offer to host in 2019.
Youth Festival 16/17
JW reported that Sonya Oates would not be able to provide programmes this year. If necessary, NANDA will subsidise the cost. Sonya can, however, do the tickets.
JW suggested that Sonya, Jean Lebeter and Mel Reynolds sort out ticket pricing, which has proved to be a problem in the past. There is a need for greater simplicity of pricing. She suggested that NANDA could subsidise these costs to some extent.
BF suggested that entrants (performers) should be allowed in free of charge as they would benefit from seeing others perform.
There have been two promises of entry so far - ELAPS and Youth People's Theatre.
6 NEW ACTIVITIES
The Broadway Cinema has been booked for Sunday 19th November - the film title yet to be confirmed. JW to send a "save the date" email to all groups, with details to follow later.
BF confirmed that the Lace Market Theatre Board had agreed to put on a free preview performance for 90 people (NANDA group members). The Council accepted this offer with thanks. It was agreed to hold the event on 17th February , the choice of play being 'Flarepath'. There was a discussion about a reception either before or after this performance, with the possibility of inviting civic leaders. BF will check and confirm details with Bea Anthony at the Lace Market Theatre in April when more details are known. RW said that there would need to be a sub committee to discuss details further at a later stage.
7 THEATRE LUNCHEON
LW reported that there had been no reply from her invitation to Vicky McClure.

10 AOB
BF confirmed that, if so wished, the next AGM could be held at the Lace Market Theatre in the upstairs bar/clubroom. It was agreed to hold the next AGM there on Saturday 10th February 2018 at 2.30pm.
There was a brief discussion on the Gurd award and the process of nominating a recipient. It was agreed to raise the amount to £100 in this instance.
RW referred to a discussion at the 2016 AGM when WBDS had suggested NANDA funds could be used to support individual groups' projects. The subject had been discussed at the time and the Council had not supported this use of funds. He had, however, omitted to tell WBDS of this decision at the time. The matter was discussed buy the Council again and it was agreed that he write to WBDS, confirming this decision.
NANDA Dinner - LW will confirm the price of the meal and the date with the Crowne Plaza Hotel and report back at the next meeting.
