Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 18th October 2016 at East Leake.

Present:- Joan Wildgust (Chairman), Christine Davison (Secretary), Neil Mackintosh (Treasurer), Madeline Lord, Barbara Barton, Tony Vokes, Roy Ainscough, Mike Stewart, Linda Whitehurst, Howard Whitehurst.

1 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2 MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING. - The minutes of the previous Council Meeting held on 13th September had been circulated and these were signed as a correct record.

4 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 16/17 and Awards Dinner
Seven entries have been received to date and three have been adjudicated
One Act Play Festival

Youth Festival 16/17
Friesland School has apologised for not invoicing NANDA and will send a bill shortly.
Jean Lebeter is looking into dates for next year's festival at Chilwell Olympia.

5 LOGO COMPETITION
A short list of three was chosen by HW, NM, MR, JW and CD. These were sent back for modification, a winner was chosen and the winning entry was sent back for further modification. The final modifications and the original were presented to the Council. After discussion, it was decided to choose the original.
The winner is Phil Chapman from Bonington Players, who will sign over the copyright to NANDA. CD to send a letter and cheque to Phil Chapman.
It was decided to start using the new logo after the next Council meeting.
JW gave her thanks to HW for organising the competition.

6 NEW ACTIVITIES
The Directors' course at Robin Hood Theatre has started. RW has held one session and there are two more to follow. he reported that it was going well.
JW will contact all groups about holding workshops. It is hoped that if there is spare space on a course, members from other groups could attend (assuming this is agreeable to the group involved).
RW has been drawing up a list of possible 70th Anniversary events. Suggestions so far are:-
A theatre quiz and buffet
Readings/presentations at the Malt Cross or group venues.
An anniversary lecture programme
RW will contact TV and MS to arrange a meeting before the next Council meeting.

7 THEATRE LUNCHEON
LW reported that there had been no reply from Jason Donovan. JW will contact Ian Smith with a view to him being our next lunchtime guest, hopefully before Christmas. It is hoped that he could also provide an introduction to Vicky McClure.

8 MEDIA
HW reported that Bonington's Facebook and website had received a lot of hits.

9 CORRESPONDENCE /AMENDMENTS TO MEMBERSHIP
NM reported that four groups have not as yet renewed their membership.
