1 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

2 MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING. - The minutes of the previous Council Meeting held on 28th July had been circulated and these were signed as a correct record.

The treasurer noted that the profit had been reduced from last year.
The balance of the Gurd account is £511.25. This amount is included in the main account money. As previously agreed this amount will be run down to zero over the coming years.
4 FESTIVALS
Play of the Year 16/17 and Awards Dinner
Stephen Godward will be the adjudicator for the coming year. The information about the competition has gone out to all groups.
Six entries have been received so far:- Market Harborough - 3 entries and one each from Whetstone, Ratae and Bonington.
There was a further discussion on adjudicators. Several names were suggested for the 17/18 season. To encourage new adjudicators, it was proposed that those interested could do an adjudication with Stephen Godward to see what is involved. RW said that the adjudicator for the 17/18 season should be in place by the end of this year.
One Act Play Festival - Leicester
Details of this have been received. CD to circulate these details to groups.
AETF - As previously discussed, it was resolved to join AETF for this year. RW will send the cheque.
Youth Festival 16/17
It has been decided to hold next year's event at Chilwell Olympia.
5 LOGO COMPETITION
Ten entries have been received. JW, CD and HW will be a meet on 21st September to judge the entries. MR and NM volunteered to join the judging panel.
6 NEW ACTIVITIES
Workshops:- RW will be doing a workshop for Robin Hood Theatre. TV said that WBDS were prepared to offer their studio out of season for workshops. It was agreed that NANDA offer workshops to individual groups to suit their own requirements. JW will circulate groups to this effect.
RW had contacted the Malt Cross in Nottingham regarding a possible event there. The management had expressed interest. No further action planned at the moment.
GP suggested a Dinner with entertainment to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of NANDA. BB said that any activities should reflect the need to attract young people.
It was agreed to set up a sub-committee comprising initially GP, TV and RW to discuss further an Anniversary dinner in October or November 2017 with more to be co-opted at a later date.
7 THEATRE LUNCHEON
Nothing to report
8 MEDIA
After a general discussion, the executive council felt that it was appropriate to review all the current activities of NANDA with a view to making them more relevant to the future; this would include workshops, the logo, new activities and the website. With the forthcoming activities planned around the 70th Anniversary, this seemed an appropriate time.
9 CORRESPONDENCE /AMENDMENTS TO MEMBERSHIP
NM said that 18 groups had renewed so far. Those still to renew are: All Hallows, Bonington, Lace Market, Spotlight, Radcliffe on Trent and Argent.
Christine Harbidge has elected to become an individual member.
