It was confirmed that all existing member groups had rejoined. In addition, there were four new groups: Argent (Newark) and Ratae, Whetstone and Market Harborough (all from Leicestershire)

4 APPOINTMENT OF NEW PRESIDENT
RW said that, after further discussion with colleagues, another name had been suggested. The idea of a 'figurehead' president had been rejected in favour of a practitioner , well known amongst local groups. It was decided to proceed with an informal invitation initially, to be followed by a formal letter, should the person be willing to accept the role.

5 FESTIVALS
a)Play of the Year 15/16 and Dinner
Sixteen entries have been received so far, with Lowdham due to submit their entry soon. The groups represented are:- Bonington (1), Prospect (2), Ratae (2), Market Harborough (3), Whetstone (1), West Bridgford (2), Theatre Imp (1), Argent (1), Robin Hood (2), Peoples' Theatre Company (1).
There followed a short discussion on moderation as there have been three adjudicators. Bob Wildgust and Stephen Godward have stood in for Howard Whitehurst when necessary. This, and other issues about the competition, will be discussed in full at a later date.
Dinner:- It was agreed that the Crowne Plaza was a good venue for the Dinner. LW had enquired about menus and was disappointed at the choice offered. She will enquire about different menus or the possibility of a buffet menu instead.
b) One Act Festival - 2016
RW reported that, as only one entry had been received by the closing date, he had had to cancel this event. After three years of trying to get the competition going, he questioned whether it was still a viable competition. The AETF connection had produced good links with Leicestershire. A proposal to merge with Leicestershire for the One Act had been rejected by the Council last year; if we combined we could maintain the link with AETF.
TV suggested that we send a questionnaire out to groups to ask for their views. This was agreed. RW will action this. MS will inform groups on the website of the cancellation.
c)Youth Festival
Owing to the uncertainty over the availability of Chilwell Olympia, Friesland School Arts Block had been booked for Sat/Sun 7/8 May. MS will visit to check out the technical facilities. JW and Jean Lebeter will check out all facilities. JL has informed all groups of the change in venue.

6 THEATRE LUNCHEON
The Theatre Royal programme was consulted and several possible speakers were identified. LW will send letters of invitation.
