NOTTINGHAM AND NOTTINGHAMSHIRE DRAMA ASSOCIATION
held on 8th April 2015 at East Leake.

1 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE were received from Neil Mackintosh, Tony Vokes, Barbara Fisher, Roy Ainscough, Mel Reynolds
2 MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING. - The minutes of the previous Council Meeting held on 10th March had been circulated and these were signed as a correct record.
A letter of thanks and a certificate had been received from the Meningitis Research Foundation for the donation of £100 after the celebrity luncheon. MS will put a copy on the website.
Possible dates for the One Act Festival were discussed, after the decision at the last meeting to bring the dates forward. Suggested dates were FridaySaturday 26/27February 2016, or Friday/Saturday 5/6February 2016. LW will check availability at Bonington theatre.

4 FESTIVALS
a)Play of the Year 14/15 and Dinner
Thirteen entries have been received from six groups; Lace Market (2), Bonington (2), Prospect (2), WBDS (3), PTC (2), Burton Joyce (2). This is not as many as last year but still a good number. The remaining plays to be adjudicated before the closing date of 31 May are:- Burton Joyce - the Importance of Being Earnest ( a trans gender version), PTC - The Government Inspector, WBDS - Ding Dong, Bonington - The Ladykillers and Prospect - The Importance of Being Earnest.
JW said that she would welcome any suggestions for adjudicators.
Dinner - Nothing to report.
b) One Act Festival - 2015
Bob Wildgust reported that arrangements for the forthcoming festival were in place. The final entry - ie the play which received the highest third
place marks - was an entry from Warwickshire. Some technical requirements were still awaited from some participating groups and these were expected next week. He will arrange a meeting next week to liaise with Bonington theatre staff, and will take responsibility for lighting, tickets and publicity.
Presentation of awards - Bob said that Sue Fortune, the national Chairman of the AETF, would be attending and would present the participation certificates, which are awarded to each group. By the end of the meeting Councillor Pauline Allan, Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council, had agreed to present the prizes.

The times were confirmed as 2.00pm start for the afternoon session and 7.00 pm for the evening session.
After a discussion, it was resolved that NANDA donate £100 towards the expenses of the winner and runner up in going forward to the next round, in lieu of holding a raffle.
Council members will attend to help where needed on the day.
c)Youth Festival
Eight entries have been received from seven groups:- Dean Hole, Tuxford Primary Academy, Ravenshead, Lace Market Youth, Market Harborough, Youth Peoples' Theatre (2) and ELAPS.
The festival will take place at Chilwell Olympia on Saturday 9th May over three sessions:- 11am - 1.00pm/2pm - 4.30 pm/5.30pm - 8.30 pm.
The adjudicator will be Di Richards. JW will contact Jean Lebeter about setting lights and flats.
