Comments:-
The Dinner was not as profitable this year because
1. Six free dinners were provided for guests.
2. The price rise at the hotel was not passed on to members. The meal price remained the same as last year.
3. Wine was provided for the top table
The P o Y festival did not make as much profit as the adjudicator's expenses were more (his travelling expenses were greater)

4 FESTIVALS
a) Play of the Year 14/15 and Dinner
Two entries had been received so far: from The Lace Market (Damages) and Bonington (Blackadder). Mike Stewart queried whether there should be a minimum length of play for the competition.
The Chairman spoke about comments received regarding the new rule for entries into the PoY competition. As co-ordinator of the competition, she had considered the comments and consulted members of the Council who could not attend the meeting. There was a further discussion at the meeting, and the following points were made:
• It would be unworkable for groups to decide which one or two plays to put in at the start of the season.
• The festival is thriving with a lot of interest from groups; any change could threaten future success.
• The festival is not just about winning trophies; groups find the adjudication valuable.
• If the 2 play limit had been in place last season, it would have made little difference.
Barbara Fisher proposed that we rescind the decision made in June (of limiting PoY entries to 2 per group) and go back to the original rules. Seconded by Christine Davison. The motion was carried unanimously.
Dinner Linda Whitehurst reported that the Welbeck Hotel had closed. She has booked the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nottingham as the venue for next year's dinner.
b) One Act Festival - 2015
Bob Wildgust reported that letters, giving details of the competition, were about to go out. Colin Treliving would be the adjudicator. Stephen Godward would adjudicate the AETF competition.
NANDA's One Act Festival clashes with the Leicestershire preliminary round. BW reported that several groups had expressed an interest, and he was hoping there would be enough entries to make an entertaining festival.
NANDA One Act - 13/14 March 2015. AETF - 25th April 2015
c)Youth Festival
Several dates were discussed: Chilwell Olympia was available 7th and 9th May (not 8th). An alternative would be 1/2 May (Bank holiday is 4th May), a week after the AETF quarter final.Madeline Lord to find out from ELAPS about the viability of theses dates.
d) Directors' Course
BW is running this at the moment with 10 people. As there had been interest from people who could not attend this one, he may run another early next year.

5 THEATRE LUNCHEON
Barbara Fisher will contact Chris Gascoigne (A Coronation St actor). Barbara suggested the Lace Market Theatre as a venue for the luncheon.
