2 MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING. - The minutes of the previous Council Meeting held on Tuesday 13th May had been circulated and these were signed as a correct record.
Barbara Fisher asked why WBDS were not successful at the AETF quarter final. Bob Wildgust replied that the winner was a very good play, which had subsequently gone through to the final; the runner up was, in his opinion, not as good as the WBDS entry, but he accepted that it was a matter of personal taste. WBDS had accepted their adjudication.

4 FESTIVALS
a) Play of the Year 13/14 and Dinner
All adjudications had been completed. There had been 20 entries from 10 groups. Generally, groups had been impressed by the adjudicator, Colin Treliving. It had been decided at the previous meeting to limit the number of entries to two plays per group. So far, there had been no adverse comments to this decision. This decision will be announced formally in the information sent out to groups in September. There will also be a change in the form so that groups can give details of any under 19's in their cast, who could be considered for the new Stephen Godward Trophy.
Four plays had been seen by both Colin Treliving and Bob Wildgust and their marks had been virtually identical. Bob Wildgust had adjudicated the two PTC entries. The adjudicator for next season's competition will be Phil Austen, who had been invited to the dinner. It was agreed to offer him two complimentary meals.
The final number for the dinner was 112. Linda Whitehurst said that she had to put a cap on that number. Final arrangements for the Dinner were discussed.
b) One Act Festival - 2015
The venue will be the Bonington Theatre: the date will be 13 - 14th March 2015
The venue for the AETF Festival will be the Bonington Theatre: the date will be 25th April 2015
Bob Wildgust said that he was still looking for adjudicators for both. Several names were suggested.
c)Youth Festival
Kegworth Players Youth Arts won the best overall play for their production of "Blackadder". The Chairman reported that it had been an excellent day with a good variety of plays. She had been impressed by how the groups had supported each other. There had been fewer entries this year for various reasons and it was hoped that there would be more next year. There had been interest from a Warwickshire group and this needs to be followed up next year. The date for the competition needs to be set earlier - Joan will set up a meeting with Jean Lebeter and arrange a date in good time. A suggested date was 8/9th May
