2 MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING. - The minutes of the previous Council Meeting held on Tuesday 18th December 2012 had been circulated and these were signed as a correct record.
Roy Ainscough sent a report on the following matters arising:-
SHUG - There were 1300 signatures on the petition so far to save the Stanford Hall Theatre in its entirety and Roy was hopeful of getting wider support; there had been articles in local and national press.
Gurd Award - Following discussions at the last Council meeting, Roy had met with Peter and Eve Gurd to ask their opinions on how best to proceed with the award in the future, bearing in mind that the interest received on the sum was negligible. They were pleased to be consulted and said that they wanted it to continue as before - as an award for "unsung heroes", ie those who do not normally get any recognition for their work. They suggested leaving it as it was for at least a decade, with some slight amendments to the rules next year.
Roy noted that Eve Gurd has a lot of archive material from the Nottingham Arts Theatre; she will take this to the Dan Shaw Archive.

4 FESTIVALS
a) Play of the Year 12/13 and Dinner
So far nine entries have been received from eight groups, with four more to come _ Bonington, Prospect, Orchard and Dukeries. Bob Wildgust has adjudicated three of these, but the adjudicator has attended the dress rehearsals of most of those he could not attend and has liaised with Bob.

b) One Act Festival -
Bob Wildgust announced, with regret, that the festival had to be cancelled. Initially there had been a promise of 5 entries which reduced to 3 at the end of January, which meant that the competition could go ahead. Two of the remaining groups had had to withdraw for various reasons, leaving Keyworth as the only entrant. Bob had consulted AETF and had secured a place for Keyworth at the Leicester Festival, which the group had accepted. This also meant that Keyworth were through to the next round automatically, by default.
Two points arose from this which were discusssed.
Keyworth had wanted more notice of the cancellation. It was therefore agreed that the closing date be brought forward for next year, and that this earlier cut-off date be adhered to. Howard Whitehurst will book the Bonington Theatre for the same weekend next year.
West Bridgford DS, last year's winners, had expressed concern at the costs involved in taking their play through to the next round. After discussion it was resolved that NANDA pay £100 towards expenses for the winning group going through to the next round. It was also agreed that £100 be granted for each round (quarter, semi and final), making a total of £400 if a group reached the final.

c)Youth Festival
Sonja Oates reported that letter and forms had gone out. and they were awaiting entries. Groups from Tamworth and Worcester had expressed interest and needed to be contacted.

5 THEATRE LUNCHEON
Jack Barrett had reported that Giles Croft had agreed to talk at the celebrity luncheon. This will take place on Thursday 28th February at the Cast restaurant at the Nottingham Playhouse, followed by a talk in the Ustinov Suite at the theatre. 150 invitations had been sent out to members and other interested parties. The chairman will contact the Nottingham Post to publicise the event.
Jack reported that although Kenneth Alan Taylor had been unable to give a talk, he had courteously replied with a handwritten letter.

6 NEWSLETTER/WEBSITE
Howard Whitehurst said that the next newsletter will go out in early March. He noted that very few groups were on Facebook and that it was a good way to get publicity for shows.

8 AOB
