Play of the Year Competition.
Thirteen plays were entered for the competition which Joyce Bromley adjudicated. The Association records its great appreciation of the work of Margot Anderson who acted as organiser for the competition. A list of the societies and individuals who were awarded trophies is published separately.
One Act Open Festival.
The Association held its One Act Open Festival at the Chatsworth Centre, Long Eaton on 10-11 June 1994. The Festival was included as part of the Long Eaton Arts Festival. Eight entries were received, Allen Tipton adjudicated and the list of award winners is published separately. The Association records its appreciation of the work of Mary Allsop in organising this Festival, of Mike Stewart for assistance with the detailed stage management arrangements, and of the staff of the Chatsworth Centre for the hospitality arrangements.
One Act Youth Festival.
Unfortunately the Junior Festival received only two entries this year and hence had to be cancelled.
Bulletin
Editions of the Bulletin were published in September 1993, February 1994 and September 1994, thanks are due to Roy Ainscough for editing.

The Association organised the following Training Schools during the year

The Association is indebted to Doreen Sheard and Christine Jackson, respectively, for making the detailed arrangements for these events, and to their constituent societies who so generously provided accommodation.
Annual Award Dinner
This year's Annual Dinner was held at the Loopers Restaurant, Goosedale Farm, Bestwood on the 14 May 1994, Joan Appleton presided, and Joyce Bromley presented the Adjudicators report on the Play of the Year Competition. The Association records its sincere thanks to Kegworth Players, in particular Bob Dunbar and Caroline Bradley, for arranging the venue.
Membership
Riverside Drama Group(Broxtowe), St Johns(Long Eaton), Langley Mill Co-op Players, RBM Leisure(Lincoln) and Retford Little Theatre were welcomed into membership.
Funding Support
The Association is indebted to the Nottinghamshire County Council Leisure Services Committee for financial support towards its services to members, principally the adjudication cost of the Play of the Year and Bulletin production costs.
Executive Council
The Association records its appreciation of the services and support of the Honorary Officers and members of the Executive Council, which met eleven times during the year
