Adam Penfold 14 Dec 2018

Adam was born in 1980 and raised in Nottingham, attending Arnold Hill school and Bilborough College before training at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.

He has a wealth of experience directing for some of the UK’s most exciting theatres, including The Old Vic, Watermill Theatre, Hampstead Theatre and Salisbury Playhouse. In recent years, he has directed a range of critically acclaimed work that includes The Boys in the Band, Platinum and Unfaithful.

His work at the National Theatre includes A Small Family Business and the Dorfman Opening Gala. He was also the revival Director of One Man, Two Guvnors and the Associate Director on the National Theatre’s 50 Years on Stage. Since becoming Artistic Director at the Nottingham Playhouse, he has directed Holes and Wonderland and is currently working on The Madness of George III

Over 60 members attended yesterday's very enjoyable theatre luncheon at the Crowne Plaza when Adam Penford, Artistic Director at Nottingham Playhouse, was our special guest.
